Hey. Good day. How's everyone doing? I've I decided to do a quick stream about competition research. So when we're doing some competition research, I like to go to Google, and let's look for dresses, for example. 

And, let's try to do the search in the United Kingdom. So I'm gonna change the local settings here and search in United Kingdom only. And this gives us a few competitors that, we can look at for backlinks and keywords and content as well. So we can open the first result here. So what we can see their page has a short description text here and not much sales, but the products if we want to rank for this type of keyword. 

We we could try to do something similar for our collection, each of dresses. So we could add a description text of similar length at at the subcategories here and the products under that. For backlinks, we can go to Ahrefs and the URL on on the site explorer. And let's see what backlinks they have. We can take a look at this particular page, or we can look at their their websites on the domain level. 

But let's take a look at this path first. So if we go to backlinks, we can start to see some pages. We can sort by domain writing here. We can see that, the Guardian and Yahoo and half post, telegraph, Those are gonna be a little bit hard to, replicate. Let's sort by first scene instead and see if we can find some recent backlinks here. 

And maybe maybe something like this. Let's see. Let's open this page here. So this could be one option for to try and get a backlink from. So we would go to contact us, for example, and put our name here. 

Let's do it here.

So for subject, let's add, like, "content placement possibility" or something like that.

Let's add message here as well.

I was wondering if you offer content link placement. What's what's the price for those? Thank you. Fashion trends. Alright. 

So that's that. And we can do the same for as many, websites that we want to get in contact with. That's a simple way of, trying to get some backlinks, but these Guardian and Yahoo are probably not gonna give us a a link just because we sent them an email. So that's not the best idea to even try because that they're gonna ask for a lot of money. But we can also look at the keywords here for ideas. 

Let's, put doesn't contain river island, doesn't con let's put doesn't contain river. That should eliminate those branded keywords. So this page is ranking for dresses, women's dresses, moxie dresses, mini dresses. So these are some ideas that we could should probably add on the content of our page if we want to rank for them on the same page. But I think these are also good ideas for subcategories. 

So we should have the subcategory called maxi dress maxi dresses, midi dresses, etcetera. Let's see. I want to see a little bit more at once. So we could add, some mid addresses. That's a good idea for category or collection as well. 

So these are some content ideas as well. So if we can find, like, nice dresses for women, then we could create a page or a blog post, for example, targeting nice dresses for women, like, titled something like nice dresses for women twenty twenty four, for example. That could be an content idea for our page or website, I think. But this gives us a good idea of keywords that this page is ranking for. If we look look at just the domain level, we can see that they get a lot of volume from dresses, boots, summer dresses, mini dresses, maxi dresses, next dresses. 

So these are some ideas for collection pages. Let's add some filters here, and we can try to look for block ideas as well. So let's put URL contains block. I think they use some author. Yeah. 

They use editorial instead. They don't use a block on their URL slugs. So let's change that to editorial here. And now we should be able to find some ideas for for our content as well. For example, summer work outfits could be a good idea for content. 

Let's see the page here. So we could try and create something similar in our blog, but make it a little bit better and more comprehensive. So that would make it rank more likely if it's a little bit better page because Google likes high quality content. But, basically, that's it for competition research. Those are a couple of ways we can use our competition to find out about backlinks and try to get similar backlinks to our page and also for keywords and, content ideas.
