Before you start

You’ll need

  • Python 3.9+ and FFmpeg in PATH. On macOS, ffmpeg-full from Homebrew.
  • A folder of sound effects you have the rights to use.

The skill comes without a sound library: bring your own, or start with 78 free UI sounds. Claude can’t hear, so it picks sounds by measured character and tells you which moments to check by ear

Questions people ask

It comes with 78 free UI sounds (CC0). For whooshes, hits and foley, point it at your own library. Freesound, Sonniss GDC bundles, Mixkit and Pixabay have free ones; check each licence.
Yes. The skill puts the effects on top and ducks them under the voice. If your render already has synthesized effects baked in, it takes them out instead of doubling them.
Any MP4: promos, explainers, UI animations, screen recordings. It works best when the project has a cue list or a HyperFrames timeline, and can also find moments from the picture.
A new MP4, the SFX as a separate WAV you can drop into Premiere or After Effects, and a report of which sound went where.
