Questions people ask

No. Your browser records your camera, microphone and screen right on your computer, and the video is saved when you download it. Your video is never sent anywhere.
Up to 10 minutes per recording, and pauses don’t count. At 10 minutes it stops by itself, and you can watch and download what you have. Then record again if you need more.
Yes. Click the microphone icon under the preview to mute it before you start, and your video is saved with no sound at all. If your microphone isn’t working, you can also carry on without sound.
In Camera mode the preview is mirrored while Mirror preview is on (it’s under the gear at the end of the camera and microphone row), so it works like a mirror and it’s easier to frame yourself. The video you save is the right way round, so any text behind you reads normally. In Screen mode the camera bubble is recorded the way it is shown.
Usually the browser is blocking it. Click the camera or lock icon in the address bar, allow the camera and microphone for this site, and click Try again (or reload the page). Close other apps that might be using the camera, like Zoom or Teams. On a Mac, also check that System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera lets your browser use it.
Yes. No account, no watermark, and no limit on how many videos you record.
Yes. Once the camera is on, switch to Screen to record your screen with your camera in a bubble you can drag around and resize, or turn the camera off with the button next to the microphone to record the screen on its own. Your browser asks which screen, window or tab to share, and only that is recorded. Clicking Stop sharing in the browser’s bar ends the take, and what you recorded is kept.
Only Chrome and Edge can record the sound of what you share. Turn on Record tab or system sound before you start and tick Share audio in the share dialog. Sharing a whole screen with its sound needs Chrome on Windows or ChromeOS, so on a Mac share a tab to get its sound. Firefox and Safari record your microphone only.
Camera mode does, in any recent phone or tablet browser. Screen mode needs a desktop browser, because phones and tablets can’t share their screen with a web page.
